Sometimes the best advice
you can get is your own.
I've spent over 20 years building commercial careers at organisations most people would recognise — 3M, JLR, InMotion Ventures — across sales, marketing, product strategy, startup accelerators, venture capital and business development. I've worked globally, across cultures, in startups and in corporates. I've seen what works, and I've seen what doesn't.
But a few years ago, I realised something. The advice I was giving to the businesses around me was better than the advice I was giving myself. So I decided to change that. I made my own pivot — left corporate life and the safety net that goes with it and set up Pivot Point Consulting. With such a wealth and breadth of experience, I want to share it with others and drive growth in business.
"I didn't want to just advise from the sidelines. I wanted to get in the game — and help businesses make the kind of changes I'd spent a career learning how to make."
Today I work with all sizes of businesses that want more than a strategy deck or coaching. They want someone who will diagnose honestly, plan carefully, and implement relentlessly. Someone who brings global experience but feels like a trusted partner. Small enough to be personal. Experienced enough to make it count.
Outside of work: classic car enthusiast; keen amateur chef; Arctic adventurer; global ultra cyclist but most importantly father of two wonderful girls with my wife, who's certainly the brains of the family.
